Dr. Sarthak Das
Chief Executive Officer, APLMA
Dr Sarthak Das is the Chief Executive Officer of the Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance. Sarthak joins APLMA from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health where he holds appointments as Research Scientist in the Dean’s Office & Department of Health Policy and Management, and as Senior Advisor for Research Translation & Global Health Policy at the Harvard Global Health Institute. He brings twenty-five years of experience as a public health scientist, development practitioner, and global health policy advisor. His worked spanned from diverse Asia-Pacific settings, in countries such as Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Papua New Guinea, as well as in West Africa.
Sarthak graduated from Harvard College with a joint A.B. in Social Anthropology and Sanskrit/Indian Studies, holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Yale University’s School of Medicine, and a Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH) from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
